Emergency Medicine Faculty Mission Statement
The Department of Emergency Medicine at Mount Clemens Regional
Medical Center
in Mount Clemens, Michigan will provide the residents with
broad spectrum of pathology and vast exposure to various emergencies to train
outstanding emergency physicians. The residency program is designed to
educate and train residents broadly in both the art and science of emergency
medicine. We will provide you opportunities to care for
a high volume and variety of patients, with instruction from experienced, board
certified, and qualified teaching physicians. The residents will have hands-on experience in a
graduated and progressive manner, likely in volumes much higher than “the minimum required”
for certification.
The acquired experience will be a combination of
initial patient evaluation in the emergency department setting, including
presentation and discussion of the diagnosis, treatment plans, alternatives,
and their risks with attending emergency physicians. The residents will also be
expected to participate in weekly didactics with workshops, required research
projects and ultrasound education leading to Ultrasound certification. Our program is designed to help you succeed
in completion
of the AOBEM certification process, and a lifetime of rewarding Emergency
Medicine practice.
